Resetting on a Festival Day?

So on a whim I started a new town last night, and got a decent layout and Ankha to boot! However, when I woke up this morning, Quillson has set up shop! I already have him in my other town, and I don't like him enough to have him in both.

My question is, if I reset today, is the town hall going to be closed because of the festival? Or will it open up so I can do a few of my mayoral duties? I am thinking it won't open, and I'll have to wait until tomorrow anyway!

You will have to wait.

But if you just only talk to Quillson once, and then never talk to him again he should move out rather quickly
