Resetting my time

Hello I'm back to ACNL once again!!! (For a really long time)

I have a noob question since it been a long while I am away from this game and leaving it hibernate....I have adjusted the timing and the date was months backwards. Now my date is 7/9 (7th sept?) and also I have done replotting Static who is going to move in (yes supposely long time ago lol). So with my new save character, settling down so the game able to permanent the location of my new villagers(still a fenced plot). It is safe for me to log in my mayor, set to the correct current time and nobody move out?! Its really been a while plus I have all my dreamed villagers around so I don wish for another accident...

Reason of hibernating from the game: heartbroken with my time travelling and game abandoning cause Bruce to moved out....not fully recover from it yet but at least now I want to be back with my other villagers...kinda miss them already and welcoming Static!

I know it may not be helpful but all I know is that if you TT forward in game, you should wait until that specific date and time you set it to to play again. For example, you set it to September 7, meaning if you set it back to, for example, 11:30 AM on December 2, you should wait until that date in REAL time to continue playing, and nothing should have changed

Meaning now I cannot TT forward until Sept 7 again?

Thank god my 3ds timing is correct! Following current time. Now only thing is that is it safe for me to TT forward to current time after settling down my new character?

So sad!!!! I took the risk and time travelled forwards.....I tought it wont be safe since someone moved in so nobody will move out.....But end up I was wrong and Katt is gone now....forever ....heartbroken I should just reset my game....

First Q: No, I meant that if you TT forward from that date, you need to wait until the date you TT to in the future to play again.If you traveled from Sep. 7th to December 2nd, you shouldn't play again until REAL time December 2nd, and the time you set it at.

Second Q: Yes, 3DS time affects all games.

Third Q: I would set it to the second and wait until then.

Sorry to hear about what happened...if it makes you feel better, starting over ends up with you having new villagers, a new map, a new town fruit, and new experiences overall! Your choice!

for future reference, the only example i'm aware of where it's safe to time travel forward, is when a villager pings you with a move-out request, and you deny their request and they decide to stay, and you then save your game and quit. it is said you can then time-travel forward as far as you want before you load the game up again and nobody will have moved out during the interim. i have used this method successfully, albeit for only a few weeks time-trip forward.
