Well, I finally got Punchy but the day he moves in (tomorrow) I was thinking of resetting for a good house placement for him. Is it safe to do so, or might I end up with a different animal? ;__;

Safe in terms of keeping the villager due to move in the same, but I've heard that resetting too many times can cause the game to randomly corrupt etc. There have been a few reports on here about it. I won't be resetting for house placement anymore because if my game corrupts, there is no way I'm starting from the beginning again :(

I don't think this is very true.. I'm sure that the people who's game corrupted must've done something silly, like turning the power off during a save.. Going to the home menu and closing the software (or doing the same with the power button) shouldn't be doing anything to your game's data.. And if it did, it would affect ALL games that you did it to
