I looked through the AC:NL question thread for this but those questions were all simple questions, mostly beginner questions, and I thought this one might be a little more detailed than a simple AC:NL question.

I know how the reset trick works, I've used it many times to remove villagers trying to move in, or to move their build-sites, or even to change the villager moving in. I have a good friend who is going to trade me Francine, so I'll be picking her up when she's in boxes at my friend's village. But my question is: if Francine's house pops up in an inconvenient place on the day she moves into my village, will she still be moving in somewhere else if I use the reset trick?

Say her house pops up directly on my paths or somewhere I have gardens that I want undisturbed. If I use the reset trick so her build-site moves, will she still be moving into somewhere in my village? I only ask because I've had experiences of build-sites disappearing altogether when I use the trick sometimes (I've actually used this to my advantage once) But I've never used it on a villager set to move in, so I don't know if this works. If she's set to move in from when I visited her in boxes, I can use the reset trick however many times I want (safely) right?

Yes, you can safely reset for her plot as many times as you need to. I've done this for villagers that I've adopted many times.
