Rerouting Rivers

Anyone else frustrated or dreading terraforming their rivers? The fact that there's a set area in which they have to flow into the ocean is driving me crazy because it's not symmetrical at all to my paths. I'm also gonna have to move my bridges around.

If you rerouted your rivers and are happy with your results, how long did it take?

Yes dear god. I have this weird little segregated section of my island where there are four houses and I have no idea how to make it not look bizarre

I refuse to move my houses again. I already did it twice, it took me nearly three weeks! I wish you could move more than one house a day. I've also wasted thousands of bells on bridges that I'm now realizing do not align. UGH!

While I don't think I need to move my houses, and given I never went resetting for maps I'm pretty happy with mine, but I've got a situation where the river hugs a cliff and it feels like such wasted space and it's awkward and idk what to do with it lol. I've already moved around a few bends of river to create more square spaces instead of strips, they're just empty/full of random stuff until I figure out what to do with them...

Yah, 10 houses total is a pain, that's 10 days! They should allow us to move more than 1 houses if we've already paid to move them once. Reasoning; Since we already paid to relocate, we've made your next move easier. This house can now move faster and easier.

Can always just patch it up. I closed off a couple of rivers and just left a little pond to remind me of it, haha.

I rerouted my rivers and honestly I don't miss my weird ones at all. It might not look as natural anymore (lol mine is now straight), but I have a lot more space to build the things I want, which just wouldn't have been possible with my rivers splitting my island.

i decided to really just mess my whole island up by cutting it up into like. 5 different pieces. i never got around to resetting the whole island to ground level or anything so i still have most of my clifs, trees, and weeds on the upper third of my map from the start of the game.
terraforming it all away is gonna take forever, and im in no rush to make this place look nice so... i will continue to hop and vault across my weird wacky rivers lol

I really hope they give us the ability to terraform beaches and river mouths. Cause it really messed up the design for my island when I realized they can't be altered :c

I've rerouted my rivers around my houses and pathway already and it wasn't too bad, I purposefully chose a map that started out similar to my end goal so it would be easier. What I'm dreading is adding in my lake, because that is not gonna be fun. Especially since I need to move my flower field first.

i've leveled my entire island once and am in the process of doing so again bc this is how i deal w large amounts of anxiety
