[REQUEST] Newton costume + hat from LBP3

Hey all! I've been trying to create my own designs for a while but I have to face the honest truth - I am completely, positively, utterly hopeless at making pixel art. So in my desperation, I'm posting a request thread here.

I'm looking for the shirt/waistcoat/coat thingamajig that Newton wears in LittleBigPlanet 3. Am also interested in his hat in the boater design too if possible! I've popped some references below in a spoiler.

I know making designs is hella hard and time consuming, so I'm willing to offer some serious cash in return. I've got NMT, bells, hybrids, sahara stuff, furniture, etc, just name your price! I know this is a super niche request but I've really been struggling with it so I'd appreciate any help

A challenge? I'm in. And ooh, this is a hard one. The shirt is too short, the dress too wide, the coat has some very harsh borders built into the model and its sleeves are too long...

Ignore the design. That's just me planning things out. What would you prefer? :')

Oooh, I'm super excited to see where this design goes! Out of all of them I am liking the first one the most, is that one the coat template? Thank you so much for trying this out!

Progress. I made it slightly off-center to account for the border that you get for free with the coat pattern, but that does give it a 'good' and a 'not so good' angle. Also, I'm having trouble finding out what the back is supposed to be like...

What do you think? Suggestions?

I'm liking how it's coming along! Although I was hoping the coat might be a bit more open and show more of the waistcoat, and maybe have the texture be a bit more fuzzy/woolen, if that's not possible with the template don't worry about it. I think this iteration looks fine at those angles though, it's coming together super well - I especially like how you've done the little details like the buttons!

I also had a quick look at some more references and the back of the coat is pretty much just plain purple except for the grey part wrapping around the back of the neck, if that helps you? It's kind of hard to get a picture because in-game he barely turns around and when it does happen it's super blurry when paused

It is slightly fuzzy, though on the last image you couldn't really tell due to a combination of lighting and how pictures are saved. I've zoomed in a bit this time which should help you see the effect! It's unfortunately about as good as I can do on that, because the amount of colours is very limited and if I make them too different you'll get a blocky, colourful mess. (You can already kind of see it happening in the bright light below).

The good news is that I managed to free up some colour, which helped me shade the top a bit.
If only I could add a darker shade of purple, as well...

The other good news is that I found a bit of a trick to blend out the coat border slightly, which means that opening it up becomes a better option!
