Why conform to political parties? That's one of the biggest things I hate about the American government. Everything always has to be Democrat or Republican. Can't people think for themselves?! Many people only vote for candidates of "their" party, simply because they're Democrat or Republican. That's just wrong. We should be voting for people and laws because we agree with them, not because of the political party that they're associated with.

That's the thing I like about Republicans. I completely disagree with them, but they actually have the balls to say what they believe. Most dems crumble under any amount of pressure. <small><small>cough obama and 90% of the senate cough</small></small>
If Obama were smart, which he's not so much politically, he'd be tough on Conservatives and alienate them, just like Bush did to the minority then. Compromise has got him 0 Republican votes. Even when he adjusts his policies to what they asked for, they still oppose him simply for the sake of opposing him. He needs to bring down the fist. >:[

Honestly if I had to choose one side, I agree with democrats more. But not all neither party is always right so people unfortunately end up voting on say seven different issues the media deems worthy of debate...even if it isn't something that important....

Really I think our government would be much better if politicians weren't mainly greedy morons... unfortunately most are....
