Replacement Pets?

i'm sorry if someone has posted something like this before, but i couldn't find anything.

i just went into tank's, and sparked up a conversation. which turned into him asking me for the black bass i had in my inventory.. to replace the last one i gave him. which was no longer visible in his room.

now.. i understand that pets can't 'live forever' or whatever. but. surely that's not what happened to his original bass, right? the poor thing didn't pass away, did it? :c

My villagers shuffle their furniture around occasionally, I'm sure the fish is okay!

He might show up later on too. I give Hamphrey bugs often and they disappear after a while and then reappear stacked on top of each other

that's really good to hear - i guess i was just so worried because tank specifically used the word replace.

villagers are skittish things, they can't handle looking at one fish for too long, therefore i believe the fish is merely sitting in some moldy tank somewhere in his attic and not, in fact, dead.

Either that or he released it back into the river to see if you were up to the task to catch it again

In New Leaf I made the mistake of giving Rowan a pike he wanted, and that thing sat in his house for *four years*. As far as I know it's still there. I kept offering to buy it from him (a feature in New Leaf) and he would say "no thanks - I don't sell friends!"
