Removing Bushes

My animals keep removing my bushes. Like I try to be nice and invite them to come and live in my town, and how do they repay me? By tearing apart my town by removing all my bushes. I love my bushes and the animals just keep plopping their houses on top of them.

Has anyone else had bush troubles?
