remodeling my island

Im remodeling my island for the first time and moving around all of the buildings...

im excited, but im also worried that the end product will be bad and that it'll all be a waste of time and money and whatnot. i have a great vision in mind but honestly im scared xD

Anyone else feel like this whilst remodeling? or am i just weird

Haha, I get you! I'm in the same situation myself as we speak. If it gets bad you can always redo it again, your island won't go anywhere after all so you got plenty of time to make it perfect. Go for that vision of yours. It will probably turn out amazing!

You're definitely not alone! I started remodeling my island from the ground up about two weeks ago now, and I pretty much alternate between thinking "Wow, I'm so happy with how my island is coming along!" and "Yikes, what if all this work this turns out looking crappy?" on different days. XD Try not to sweat the itty bitty details and enjoy the overall process -- we've got this!

I have this intense fear every time I make big (or small if I'm honest) changes on my island! At the end of the day I always try to tell myself I can save up to undo whatever I did in the future if I really hate it. That said I've never really finished a project without finding a way to make it work! I'm sure your changes will turn out great!!

yes i do. i moved a bunch of buildings around and while i do like it im thinking of changing it again. i had a cafe changed it to a diner now i dont like the diner either and trying to figure out what to do with it. i hate decisions lol

I like some of the things I've come up with...... but i hate the layout of my island, it feels all wrong, so that's why im remodeling and hopefully will make it flow better (the way i have it everything is cramped up in the south part of the island and the north part is just wasted space xd)

I’m on my 3rd remodel that involves moving buildings. I think I’ve finally found what I like! Even if what you’re doing now doesn’t work out, you’re still making progress. Some things have stayed where I put them, even through other remodels. I’m not starting from scratch each time.

Yeah I am totally with you! I am working out a massive project that I think will look really cool when it's done but it's a pain in the butt because I cannot move resident services! So it will be hard.

I get the same way but I try to remind myself that the worst that can happen is I don't like how it turns out. You might waste bells but you can get them back. You might spend a lot of time on something but that's time playing a game you really like and that's time that you spent having your brain occupied by something harmless. Everything is fixable and even little ideas have their own evolutions. Just let things flow and have fun with it! I hope that makes sense aaaa

you’re not alone! i haven’t done much in terms of my island but the few areas that i have decorated, i’m redoing as i’m not as happy with the final product as i could be. it’s a pain but thankfully there’s no rush and we can tear stuff down and rebuild as many times as we need to c:

I'm in the process of remodelling 1/4 of my island, particularly because I switched the path designs and now everything's a mess. I'm also scared I don't achieve the look/vibe I'm envisioning, but hopefully!!
There's also another sector of my island I used to be happy with but now I'm not sure, so I'm considering heavily whether to tear it down and start again or just edit what I have. ksfjdk

I've finished moving buildings, but landscaping changes all the time. I've got 2 areas I'm working on now, and I know how I want them to be, but I don't know if I can pull it off. I may end up scrapping one, or both, and trying something else.

I've also got seasonal things that I'm not sure how to handle. It's both fun and challenging.

I feel the same way! There was a time I got way too overwhelmed thinking of making my island better that I got burnt out instead lol. Got back into the game now though! Working section by section and I’m currently just working on my neighbourhood just so I don’t get overwhelmed.
