If you're hesitating, just use that screenshot button to take a bunch of screenshots & videos first! That way you can always go back to what you had before... I'd say that if you have an idea, it's worth trying!

I changes a few areas on my island and while it's scary at first, I usually do end up with something I like even if it isn't perfect immediately.

I'd take massive amount of photos just in case if it doesn't turn out the way you wanted to. I wouldn't worry too much about the wasted bells.

I waste a lot of bells with trial and errors. If the idea sucks I'll scrap it and start again.
