Remember when you had to run around the entire town to chase down one item??
Spike needs something from Goldie but SURPRISE, she gave it to Teddy. You run to Teddy's house but SURPRISE, he lent it to Tybalt. Run to Tybalt and OOPS, he gave it to Bessie. Run to Bessie, BUT OH WAIT, she gave it to Butch. Butch is nowhere to be found for like 2 hours, but when he finally turns up NOPE, HE GAVE IT TO ROCCO. Run to Rocco but OH NO HE GAVE IT TO KIKI. Then you finally find the damn thing and get your reward. Was that fun (and slightly pain-inducing) or what?? I miss that so much. That was how I spent 80% of that game. Just set up a new GC town after years and I'm having the time of my life.

Errands aren't that fun in New Leaf tbh.

I loved that a lot even if it was somewhat time-consuming, I wish this was in new leaf honestly

I don't quite remember this, but it sounds familiar. I haven't been able to touch my family's GC town in ages.

Ha! I had forgotten all about that. Thanks for reminding me. :/ I do miss playing that game though. Makes me wanna check up on ol' Meowtown.

It would be so nice if they brought that back, I also wish the towns were slightly bigger to really run around and lose villagers; ACGC was so great.

Man....I might go visit my two GC towns this afternoon..

I LOVED THAT! As much as it ANNOYED me so much, I really wish it was in this game, once again that's why Animal Crossing GameCube has more personality.

I just set up a new GC file as well. Not only do I miss the errands, but I get nostalgic about the little house on the island that you could decorate. It was like a personal beach house.
The villagers had more personality, too.

ACNL is lacking in many ways but the villager errands is def one of them. I feel like I don't get anywhere near as many errands from my villagers in acnl.

I miss that. The villagers really felt alive in the GameCube version. :c

I wish they would've brought back the feature where you ask your villagers if they have any errands for you.

yeah! it made it a lot more compelling and believable tbh. usually i don't even do errands now because they'll all the same of - get me a fish, get me a fruit, give this terrible shirt to someone. gamecube nostalgia is up there, wow

I liked finding balls for them. Please bring the balls back for the next game.

I can't be the only one that hated it. Right?

It was kinda ridiculous, and it made you roll your eyes and scream internally and die a little bit, but idk, I still loved it despite all that lmao. I can't describe it.

Exactly, the errands are so stale in New Leaf. And I can't even do most of them because I don't want them to wreck their houses with sea bass and dino torsos lol

Ohhhh the balls! I forgot you could give them balls! Yea now I remember how I'd run all over the map trying to get one for them, then when I finally found one I accidentally kicked it into the river.....

Yeah, the villagers had so much personality in the GC version, I loved it. The longer I play New Leaf, the less I care about the **** my villagers say lmao. Like I used to find little differences in their dialogue choices, like it seemed Celia was more likely to say certain Normal dialogue options than Mitzi, but overtime they all start to say the exact same thing over and over again. It seemed like villagers had more variety back then and I miss it. I mean of course dialogue is bound to repeat eventually in any game, but it happens a lot in New Leaf and it got old reaaaal fast.

Yeah, I remember that. I couldn't forget that. I'm glad that it didn't make it to Wild World as it was one of the many flaws with the GameCube Version.

lol I feel ya, it was pretty torturous sometimes. OH one flaw that I'm really glad they removed (or a feature they changed, idk, whatever way you wanna word it), is how fossils were assessed. I hated having to send letters just to check a fossil every day, it was tedious. So I'm really thankful Blathers finally got that license of his.

Those were the days. I remember how annoyed I'd be when during the winter the igloo feature would take one of the villagers from the town and other villagers would ask for errands that involved them but you couldn't complete them that day since when villagers were in igloos they didn't have any interaction to complete errands. =/
