Remaking my entire town whoo

I've been playing since release date and originally I didn't care about my town's looks so most of the public works are in places that don't make sense and now I'm hating myself for it. But I have so much invested into my house/items and almost half of my dream villagers, so instead I've decided to demolish all my public works projects and build around what I have. Has anyone else done this? How unfun is it?

it takes loads of time unless you cycle but the outcome will be much better especially since you already know what pwps are available and you can therefore plan exactly where everything goes. I'd say it's worth it if you're really unhappy with your town but be prepared for it talking long to build back up

Yeah, right now I'm TTing through each day, just playing like half an hour to an hour every day editing some things. It'll probably still take a while though since I used to build each project as they became available. I'm just glad I have a few permanent housing locations to work around. orz

Yess I'm definitely making sure of that. I talk to my favorites a ton each day just to make sure. Though each time I load up I silently fear Isabelle will go, "Oh wait, someone's moving out today!" and surprise me with it somehow.

Same here, I wrecked down all of my PWPs (so out of place omfg), chopped the trees down, laid down paths, organized hybrids and planted bush starts to make it look better c:
Only thing I don't like too much is the villager's house placement :/ But I think I can live with it.

You just need a lot of Bells to renovate almost everything o_o

I don't time travel, but I have demolished several PWPs then rebuilt them in another location or just did not rebuild them at all. My town is always in a state of flux. lol.

I'm currently doing this, I wish I had planned better, specially with the permanent PWPs, but it's nice, I mean It's a slow process (if you don't TT) but you can always re build everything and that's pretty cool ! specially when, as you said, you've gotten many dreamies, items, etc, I considered resetting but all of the above stopped me from it, I love it.
