They are supposed to be working on Pikmin 3. They are releasing the old ones so they can get fans.

Well. Depends how good the original game was. Even so I do agree they should make new games. But, maybe they want to reintroduce the game before they make a new one to see how it works on the Wii. As said above, pikmin didnt work very well on the Wii, so they will probably take a look at that and go "Ok, no Pikmin 3 for the Wii". It saves a lot of money for Nintendo and the buyer. (Usually "new" games are 50 - 60 dollars, but the remakes are 20-30) And yea, i know there making Pikmin 3 for the wii, but, they probably wont put as much effort into it as they would have.
