I am really upset that Nintendo neglected to give us a release date on Animal Crossing and were very vague about release dates for other games. "Later this year" vs. "Fall of 2011" makes a big difference to me. I was honestly hoping we'd get a ball park idea of when we could expect this title. Especially because, judging from the trailer, it seems pretty polished and looks like it is coming along so nicely. Same with Kid Icarus and all of the other titles with trailers. Grrrr.

It is not going to be called welcome to animal crossing. All Animal Crossing games have had that sign thats says "Welcome to" in tiny lettering, and then, "Animal Crossing", obviously the focal point of the sign, with a smaller sign hanging from the bottom displaying the version title such as Population Growing, Wild World, City Folk, or ____________ .

I'm hoping my socks off for a 2011 release. I want to be playing on a brand spanking new 3DS at my Christmas party, and I don't want to be playing anything other than ANIMAL CROSSING!!
August 2nd would be amazing, as long as the game is finished. And according to another thread on here, an interview from someone in Nintendo reveals that they're planning to release another video and they said something more about networking possibilities. This is indication that the game may be coming sooner rather than later, but who knows? Not even Nintendo apparently since they can't even tell their loyal gamers.
