I'm well aware there are other what kind of new features would you like to see in future games threads but I would just like to point out individually how cool would it be to have regional seasons? I mean, as someone playing from Australia it's just not as cool knowing spring is coming irl but in game we're heading into fall. I mean I would like to play the same season as it is in real life without having to change the date. I was just thinking having seasons change based on your region would be great. It would be a lot more fun going over to other people's towns acorss the globe when yours is Summer and going over to a Winter town. And let's be real here, as an Australian Christmas is celebrated in the Summer. I don't want no white Christmas. Who agrees? :D

too bad, i didnt know that happened in australia, well i guess i just never thought of it.

Yeah I definitely think that would be cool! Like when you start a new town it tells you to select your country and then that determines how the seasons work. Because yeah if I lived in Australia and it was summer I wouldn't want to see snow in my town!

I think that would be neat! Then the season items would be synced as well, I'm assuming. So you wouldnt have to wait 6 months to get some snow items and so on

That could be interesting!! Although TBH, I kinda like that the seasons are a little off from my real life, where I live it's very cloudy and rainy a lot so it's kinda nice to have sunny days even when the sun isn't out in real life.

I would love this! A good way I think this could be implemented is by Rover asking in the beginning what season it is in the town you're heading to. Currently, you could chooe from summer and winter and in October, for example, the options are spring and autumn. That way it isn't too direct and you could choose if you want the game to match with real life or not.
I'm sure it would bring with a few issues, though. Snowmen would be build in July and there would be no fireworks in the winter at all. During the summer, however, you're flooded with them- both new year and the 'August's fireworks' (that now occur in January). All holidays would still be on the same day, but in the oppositw season. Image that cherry blossom-halloween already? And Harvest festival should be in autumn, but that would change up the dates.

Haha, I think I'll stop now. I do hope this will be implemented in future games, although it might be a bit tricky to figure out how.

To an extent, I wouldn't want it to sync with local weather. I like going on to AC to see that my town is raining when it's actually sunny and vice versa. I totally agree with seasons though.

That sounds pretty cool. It would make it more fun to visit people from different countries. Then you could see different seasons without tting.

How about just real time weather? Your AC game syncs with your weather app and you experience your real life weather in the AC world. If it's thunderstorming at your house, it's thunderstorming in the game. I have long said that would be a cool feature. You could toggle it on and off, of course.

I also live in Australia and have mentioned this in some other ideas threads myself. It feels really strange rolling up snowballs in December in the game meanwhile I'm dying of heatstroke IRL from an Australian summer. Considering that region settings are already part of the DS I would think that it should be possible.

hello fellow strayans!

idk i personally kinda like it how it is, because i haaaate christmas in the summer ;~;
but i think it would definitely be a nice option to be able to choose or toggle on/off, because i can understand why people would want the seasons in game to reflect real life!

I think that it'd be great! Also, it'd be amazing to be able to sync the game and the weather app (as someone has already suggested). Actually, when I was little I used to believe that real-life weather and in-game weather were always the same... Until one day, it rained all freaking day IRL and it only rained in the morning in game. :P
