Regarding online play. Does anyone else feel like this?

Back in the day I used to play a game called Habbo Hotel where you will make your rooms and then try to make people to go visit. You will have a room browser window where rooms will be shown according to which ones had more people vising. Some rooms will be password protected and others will be opened to the public. Rooms will also have purpose like for instance some rooms will be a workplace, others will be mini games, big trading rooms where people will make them look like markets, etc. People would always come up with crazy looking rooms. I think all this could be done in a similar way in animal crossing.

After playing New Horizons for a couple weeks I have a huge craving for this feature. Another feature would be having a list of friends in your phone where you can chat and quick visit.

I feel like there is a big potential for online play in animal crossing but visiting other islands is so tedious. Why hasn't Nintendo though about making this? It would be so much fun vising islands if it was more seamless.

I think Nintendo could easily implement a feature in the game similar to the Nook Stop where we can post our islands and see them by likes/visits/etc.

You can already have a list of friends in-game (when you play online and add one of your friends to it) known as the Best Friends List app. You're able to send and receive messages from anyone you've added on there. I haven't really used it, so I'm not sure what limitations there are (unless it acts the same way as the one from New Leaf).

Other than that, a board showing off your islands (like the one in Dragon Quest Builders 2) would be nice, though I feel like they'd probably do something closer to the Dream Suite where you can only upload/view islands (instead of having all that additional info).

I didn't know. Thats good to know!

I honestly dont understand why isn't this a feature. I can already imagine people making their own mini games in the island such as dancing chairs, races, mazes, etc :(. Even if possible now the whole logistics to gather people are not optimal. It took me 10 minutes to go to another person's island the other day.

I feel like this could be a reality if the developers were not Nintendo, they rarely listen to their playerbase

I'd like the dream suite so that people can visit people's towns at anytime and no fear of damage being made.

does dream suit allow to have multiple people in an island? Or is it like a single player feature where you explore someone else's island. Sorry for my ignorance.

Oh, sorry for the confusion. It was a feature in New Leaf where you enter someone's dream address and visit a version of their town whenever you wanted. It was single player and you couldn't speak to the actual owner of the town but you could visit it and pick up stuff or even run through flowers if you wanted because it wasn't their actual live version of their town.

oh I see. That seems like good fun, but i think it would be more fun if we had this feature as well as online feature, where nobody can destroy flowers or grab fruit unless one of the owner gives the right.
