So I recently finishes the 6th day of the anniversary photos for Reese and Cyrus and received the decorative plate. The next, day I go into one of my villagers houses )who was at the party) and they are displaying a decorative plate (with Reese and Cyrus on it). I look at 3 more villagers houses who were at the party and 3/4 villagers are displaying the plate. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else and if the plates go away at some point, because they are kind of ruining the villagers houses as they do not even coordinate with the theme or if there is a way to get rid of them.

Thank goodness! Thank you! I'm really happy they go away as the plate in Ankha's house does not look great!
The Cyrus & Reese plates do eventually go away. My villagers had those plates in their house and eventually they were removed and replaced with a different item they own.

It's not even the end of the month and they're gone in all of my villagers' houses.

I thought it was cute that all my villagers who went to the wedding photos got plates, even if they don't display them. I don't think Kabuki or Rooney ever displayed theirs, but I never had an issue with it. Maybe because none of my villagers have a particularly edgy theme that clashes or w/e. It was a little weird in Clay's house, but I find it a cute touch. Maybe that's just me.
I'm pretty sure villagers stop displaying any seasonal items you give them once the season ends. I've heard a couple people say they bring the items back the next time the event comes around, not sure if that's true though. I haven't finished the event yet, but this is why I'm kinda planning on only inviting my amiibo villagers to the wedding~

This happened to me but they took the plate away after several days. Kind of sad because I actually thought it was cute!
