Could I get some encouragement? I feel ridiculous asking but I’ve started taking apart my 5 star island to redo and I’m having the worst anxiety over it. I liked how it was before but I didn’t terraform at all, now I have these ideas. I just don’t want to regret it 😞

Update: I was able to get my five star rating back and I’m SO happy with my redone island ❤️

start with one section at a time, little by little. Then if half way through you decided you don't like it, but the old way better. You can always change it back. =3

Agree with the others who recommended to do one section at a time. Seeing the entire island in ruins will trigger big time anxiety and frustration. If you did per section, the impact will be less.

Little by little, change an area and move from there, in my opinion it's easier than trying all at once.

I am really bad at doing entire towns/islands. So I've pretty much decided to just go very slowly and do a tiny bit at a time. Right now I'm mostly concerned with paths connecting everything on the lower part of the island, and getting some pretty hybrid flowers for good landscaping. But I'm still worried, because I can't come up with many good ideas outside of houses/shops. Like... waterfall placement? Fences and shrubs and flowers all making pretty pretty atmosphere? Yeah, really not good with that. I wish I had the creativity a lot of you guys did.

I take screenshots of what it looked like before so if i don't like the changes I've made I can revert it back. Start slowly with one area at a time. Feel free to plan all this stuff out on paper. That's what I do lol. Makes it easier to bring the ideas from paper to in-game personally.

Currently in the process of redoing my island.

It can be overwhelming but try to focus on one project at a time. It’s not going to get done in a day. Understand it’s going to be time consuming and expensive. And just have fun with it and make the island of your dreams.

people like to start big, but when they do, they start thinking that they want to go in a different direction and un-do all their hours of hard work and effort. start small and work little by little and enjoy the process!! animal crossing isn't a rush or competition.

Try to plan and make small changes to the island, it doesn't have to be all accomplished in one moment, like the other poster said "start small and one section at a time".
