Redesigned Wii console announced for Europe

Idk if this is old, but;

Also confirmed for a release towards the end of the year is a new Family Edition white Wii console which comes bundled with a Wii Remote Plus, Nunchuk, Wii Party and Wii Sports games. The Family Edition Wii is smaller in size and is designed to lay horizontally, not vertically like the current Wii system, the Family Edition also no longer supports Gamecube games or accessories.

Daw, this makes me sad. Gamecube's my favorite system. But it's gotta die at some time I suppose, just like everything else. Plus it didn't sell as well as expected. (and yes I know there's no gamecube compatibility for the Wii U as well. And the main reason for no compatibility on this Family Edition is probably to make it cost less [guessing]).
