Redesign Your Villager Houses - via Harv's

i thought of doing something like this because i found judy on an island recently & she's actually less creepy much cuter in person, but i felt like her house lacks something. i don't think it's ugly, it's just not snooty enough.

of course i only used harv's island but the rooms are larger so i tried not to fill up the entire space.
i hope others try this out as well! it could be our little mini HHD game.

before vs. after​

majority of snooties have refined taste with queen size beds, obviously pastel will fit judy more but that single bed and wooden-block set makes it look like a kids room. yikes.

This is so cute! I've had Judy a few weeks now and I always have felt her house doesn't really 100% match her. I think the bed and crescent moon chair really help to make it feel more like her space.

I also like the idea of visiting Harvs to do something like this! I'm going to re-design some other villager homes, especially one who is stuck with their starter home that I'm trying to fix!

I think what you designed is so much better but she may have the room she has because she is a bear cub. That red workbench needs to go though lol!

I really like her new room! And using Harv's to redesign is a great idea.

Maybe one day they'll include an HHD feature where we present a layout and they can choose to accept it or not. One can dream.

The way you redesigned Judy's house looks really great! Also, I agree she looks cuter in game than she does online. I remember seeing her before and thinking there was something creepy about her eyes, but once my boyfriend found her on an island, I thought she was really cute.

This is such a great idea; thanks for posting this ! After entering the sleepover contest, I’ve been wanting to use Harv’s Island more, but I couldn’t think of anything so far that I wanted to do.

You did a a really great job improving her house . It does look so much better with the changes that you made.

@oak ’s contest submission was based on Gaston’s house and I thought it was so clever how he made it fit the contest theme and improve Gaston’s house at the same time (Gaston definitely deserved that house makeover; thankfully @oak is taking good care of him)

I’ve been considering giving Punchy a pet bed, but I am very reluctant to give any of my permanent residents anything since I’m worried it’ll mess up their houses. So Harv’s Island is a good way to test some furniture gift ideas (even though I can’t control where some of them goes when I gift them).

it sucks that i can’t really turn her house into this because the items she’d replace it with would have different dimensions. hence why i ended up going to harv’s.

maybe i could try gifting the crescent moon & cute vanity
does anyone know if i gifted her the cute DIY, she’d stop using the red one? because i heard some people did that with their villagers and ended up with 2 diy workbenches & we don’t want that.

i’ve been thinking how this would not only be a nice addition, but also a purpose for lottie’s return. i doubt they’ll manage to make an ac spin-off game for the switch anytime soon, so why not just incorporate HHD here? and since ya know acnh is all about designing anyway this could be a great in-game task/feature in the future.

Thanks for the info . Yeah, he’s not in a starter home. I used his amiibo card. That’s the only reason I wanted to give him the pet bed; I saw a picture of him sitting in it and I thought it was so cute lol. I might settle with putting it somewhere outside, though he never reads outside, which is kinda a shame.

Yeah, that really stands out and not in a good way :/.

bro thats so cute, i love it :0 i’m not super invested in villager interiors but harv’s island is definitely good for planning out your own interior ideas, too; it’s saved me some time and bells by letting me plan stuff out rather than having me impulsively buy stuff only to not need or want it ;u;

I did up Sterling’s house. He’s my favorite villager but they BUTCHERED his house.

I took inspiration from this version, keeping in mind that not everything is available to use in NH. Here’s what I got:

If his house was anywhere near this, I’d be putting him on Evwirt permanently.

Oh my, the new house you designed for her looks so much prettier than her original one. I may understand that because she's a cub, her interior fittings looks a bit more "childish". Then again if you ask me, it looks like as if she's a female lazy rather than a snooty (I'm getting some Stitches vibes from it honestly). At least the bed should be switched out with a bigger one, the Cute bed you used would fit perfectly, perhaps in general her house could need some more pieces from the Cute set? Otherwise, I love that idea of using Harv's island to design villager houses, I'm gonna try this out too soon.

I think Judy's house looks really nice with her, but if she weren't Snooty that'd be even better.
