So I guess this is just a bit of a rant? But I've decided that I was unhappy with how my hybrid garden looks so I wanted to make something a bit fancier on my island. I have what I jokingly call a "summoning pool" on my island (which is essentially a pond surrounded by bamboo trees and flowers) and after using the terraform planner, I'm thinking of taking my hybrids and surrounding summoning pool cliff. I counted the number of spaces I need and it's gonna cut into my campsite area (which I can move over to where the garden currently is) as well as the river and waterfall, which I guess shouldn't be TOO big of a deal to fix later.

But have you ever just sat looking at the project you want to do and just think, "ugh where do I start?" Because that's where I'm at right now LOL. I'm probably thinking that i should hit up some mystery islands to gather fruit for all the trees I need to relocate before I start the terraforming.

Anyone feeling the same way?

I'm currently dealing with a similar issue. I have my villagers houses set up in a specific way, and I really do like how it looks. But I feel like I'm using up too much space and thinking of how I can give my villagers a slightly bigger yard without consuming too much block space. Right now I'm just building up a lot of Bells. I need to go look at how my island currently looks and use the Happy Island Designer and/or Island Planner to figure out how I want to reposition certain things. People make their islands look big, and as if they have enough room for everything, while I look at my island and just feel like I don't have enough room. I'm not jealous of other islands, and I know this isn't a contest. But if I can make my island look better than I currently think it does, then I'd like to improve on that.

yes! terraforming and redecorating can be a real chore, especially if you have to rearrange buildings to fit your vision (i once realized that my museum, lined up right next to my nook’s cranny and ables store, was just two tiles too far to the right, which meant that i had to pay to relocate the cranny and able’s store twice, and the museum once >.<); usually, when i’m faced with frustration or creative block, i find that it helps to take a step back and get back to the project another day o: there’s no deadline to the game, after all, and acnh is supposed to be a stress-free, relaxing experience. often i’ll be hit with a spark of inspiration later c: it’s super satisfying to see the finished product in the end~

Currently I just want to start out with fresh land and flatten everything. The bad part is once you get too far in the game you have soo many buildings that you can't easily move them to one area because that land is also land you want to terraform. And I agree, flowers are kind of a pain in this game, they breed like crazy, you have to shovel them to pick the up, and you can't put them in storage. If you want to re-organize them you have to plant them on the beach.

The flower shoveling part is gonna be the biggest pain I think once I get the whole foundation down. Mine are currently set up in 3x3 blocks with fencing around them to stop them from breeding so I had to keep them in mind again when I move them.

Yeah I feel that, but I find starting is the hardest part! Once you are knee deep it becomes so much fun and you can't stop, or at least this is how I feel lol. I might be hesitant to start a project because of the demolition/prep work I have to do but once I get going I can spend hours and hours working. Usually thats when I'm most creative too because as I'm working on something I suddenly come up with more ideas for that area or ideas for a different area!
