Redd finally showed up after a month & a half and...

i got 2 real paintings this time! HALLELUJAH good thing i also have a 2nd villager now to buy it. now it's making me think my second character is what made him rare? actually nevermind that, it should have equal chances according to dataminers

yes, i've been playing every single day. and YES, i am checking the map & the secret beach, my second character house is located there so there's no way i'll miss him.

anyone else who finally saw him after a long time?

I had Redd last week, Tuesday. Before that, his last visit was around the 2nd week of May.

yes, i've been talking about this a lot. even getting into arguments. because we're aware we're supposed to not get them all that quick, but there's a LOT of art. and we're not even talking about completing it all. even just seeing him more regularly would be nice. he shouldn't be THIS rare.

also i feel like because we can display statues outside now, donating it to the museum isn't just our goal for having redd.

Exactly!! I'd even be happy if he showed up more often - but with the tradeoff of fake art being even more common. I just love when he visits.

That said, didn't he show up at least once a week in New Leaf? And I'm pretty sure there was less art in new leaf, yet it still took a long ass time to get all the art

i wouldn't be against this. he showed up a lot on new leaf, but also noticed a lot of repeats and fake art chances. but since the lack of storage and not a lot of places where we can display them, it was not practical. meanwhile, this will be very useful in new horizons.

I haven't seen Redd in a month. He was selling a fake statue, which I wanted to put in front of my museum. I didn't buy it though because I thought he'd show up later with a real one (I also only had one profile). Oh how wrong I was... I really wish he'd show up more often.

Oh god. I guess their game plan is to keep people playing New Horizons for as long as possible.. or force people to get art the lame way (trading) (no offense to those who do this, I just think it's more satisfying getting art from Redd)

they REALLY did their best to promote trading so people would get online subscription (as if most of us haven't signed up for it anyway???? majority of the players visit their friends on new horizons!)
as someone who trades a lot, i haven't traded for art as well. i was tempted to do trade because i wanted to display a statue outside to give it a garden feel, but i was lucky to receive a statue from a villager early on.

Yes, I really wish Redd will come more often. There has been twice Redd visited my island with 4 fake arts...and his visit is really not often.

I guess I would probably need 5 years to complete my art exhibit.

He finally showed up on my husband’s island after over a month with all fakes. He hasn’t been on my island since the end of April.
starting to get discouraged.
i love this game, but this is ridiculous.
between him and Celeste I’m about ready to give up collecting.

I haven't had him visit very often, a total of three times, and I've also played every day since release. BUT! There seems to be a slight chance of villagers sending art to you in the mail! Both Snake and Bob has sent me a mystic statue (Snake sent a fake one though), so there is still a chance of getting art even if Redd isn't there! (hopefully they either switch saharah out from the weekly visiting pool in exchange of redd or just make villagers sent more art....)

They really should replace Leif with Redd as a weekly visitor.

I love Leif but I don’t need bushes/flowers every week, but Redd’s art I need lots of lol.

can't wait until the next nooks upgrade and he actually starts to sell there as opposed to being a visiting NPC to make way for some of them.
i know that stairs on the right side isn't there for nothing.

I got him a month ago and haven’t seen him since. I’m actually concerned that him might not come back, but I guess I’ll have to wait and see! His visits are almost too rare though, I wish it was more frequent.
