Red Snapper and Barred Knifejaw locations.

So I am in the process of getting the items needed for the harvest festival. But these two I can not seem to get at all. They are the last items on my list anyone know where they are located? I have tried Island Fishing and Home Fishing each for about 2 hours, still no luck on either of those.

That's all I could say too. I easily found mine at home in the ocean, but I found the barred knifejaw first. I caught the knifejaw sometime around noon, and I found the red snapper around 6/7 pm.

I do believe both of them are caught all day, but I've had better experience with catching them after 4pm.

They have a medium sized shadow.

I just caught both and its 10 pm. I've caught both during the day too

i've only caught them both along my west coast ocean beach... any time during the day

So I think some may just be more lucky than others. Been fishing for 3 hours caught every fish and only pulled up 1 Red Snapper. If I happen to not be able to get the 2 more Red Snapper and Knifejaw, can I still complete the harvest festival tomorrow?

Yes you can. I've heard that if you're missing any ingredients you need for a recipe, giving a villager what they are missing will cause them to give you something that you're missing for the recipe.
