I lost a game cartridge a couple of months ago because it popped out the DS unit. I assumed I lost it outside, but found it in my home today. So the town would be somewhere in early June when last played. I got a new cartridge eventually and wanted to sort of pick up where I left off so started it as though it was June. I was going to speed through the days to the present time. But I am must to obsessive about my daily town activities to accomplish that so my new town is in mid July.

How will it affect the clocks if I switch games? Is there way to turn back the DS clock so that my old town is just as I left it without messing up my new town (or any other game with a time factor such as the Professor Layton daily puzzles?)

I am also thinking I would like one town to be more up to the present time so I can enjoy the seasonal activities but then I miss out of insects and fish along the way.

I am not sure what to do, or even what can be done to minimize possible villager loss etc.

The strangest part was I was just telling a friend this morning that my new town totally feels like home now.

well you can TT using the in-game clock, not the actual 3ds clock. many people have a cycling town as well as a main for one ds and they do that. you can TT back to the last date you played (or an approximate) on the old one and still play the current date on the new one.

ive had my town at June 15th , 2015

it was a month ago when i had it like that because i have no patience with growing trees and plants

so i decided to TT back to the present , nothing happened since i input the Beautiful ordinance . Just 2-5 weeds , many dandelions , many mushrooms c:

I think when you have two games at different dates on one DS it's easiest to keep the DS clock current and manage the town time in game. Just write down the current day in your town, put the DS clock where you want it and carefully talk to Isabelle before you load the game. That's the hardest part for me.

Honestly, when it have two towns on one DS, though, I just have to have the dates the same and I manage them with my DS clock. I'm too clumsy about loading the games otherwise, and the risk of my accidentally voiding a villager is just too great. So I would either wait to reject a move in my July town and then jump forward, or I would go backward in my new town.

By the way, congrats on finding your old town! That must feel great!
