Any of you guys into vinyl? If so, I'd love to see your collections and/or turntable setups!

Earlier today, I found me a "new" turntable at the local Goodwill: a Realistic Lab-330. I was skeptical as to whether it worked or not, but for 10 bucks, I'd be a fool not to pass it up. I plugged it in when I got home, and to my surprise, it worked -- almost. When getting an album ready for playback, it took awhile for the platter to spin up. I hoped it wasn't something with the motor... but thankfully, it just needed a new belt. Decided to donate the one from the ****ty Crosley and now it sounds even better!

And all for 10 bucks? I'm pretty happy.

Here are some pics of the Crosley and my new setup. As for my record collection... I'll post it later. I'm too tired to go through it right now :P

Not so much me but my fianc? loves vinyls and even has some singles and rare/expensive ones...let's see he's got the huge Stadium Arcadium set, Beatles vinyls, MGMT vinyls and singles, some Nirvana and Audioslave, Demon Days which was supposedly very expensive and rare, Stuff from The Killers, DeadMau5, Gotye...I got him a USB I think turntable a few years back and the sound is great, I look forward to seeing the collection grow :) sorry it's not me but cool to see another vinyl enthusiast! You should frame some of your album covers, it looks awesome!
The stuff you snagged looks quite nice!

Yeah, I like collecting vinyls, beats CD to the bone always. I have some Japanese ones, that I love and a few others. Wish I could get our vinyl player to work again though. And yours looks awesome

DUDE I SEE RUBBER SOUL!!! Fricken awesome. You've got a killer set up! I'd love to see what other albums you have stashed away. No body likes geek talking rock and roll with me.

I love vinyls. I haven't had a working set up in a while, due to moving around a lot and giving my old equipment away. I may have to do some scavenging this summer. Usually bouncing from yard sale to yard sale around I'm bound to find some great deals on record players.

I have a fairly ok collection of vinyls. I have a good number of Beatles, Pink Floyd and Zeppelin. Some stuff from the Moody Blues (My wife got me Days of Future Pass), I have the original release of Greatful Dead's debut album, the covers upside down and every thing.

It's so rad, once you start jamming to vinyls it's hard to go back.

Sucks that you had to give your old equipment away. :( What'd you have before?

Beach Boyss

I should put up a pic of my stuff at least the japanese ones :'D

Hah! I wish I had friends who groved to such great tunes.

I had a couple Pioneers, and a nameless set of 250 watt speakers I picked up at a moving sale. Great stuff, the speakers eventually junked on me. One of the Pioneers stopped working, needs some rewiring done, as the sound is microscopic. The other worked fine, I just couldn't take it with me to the west coast.

Thats a killer collection, am impressed at the amount of Beatles and Beach Boys stuff. Special props for Tom Waits! You rock man, way to keep the dream alive.

The player I have now is just garbage... Luckily, I'm about to get hooked up with my dad's old system. His whole system is insane and I can't wait to get it and post a picture. A lot of my collection I inherited from my parents but I've been adding to it when I can.

Modest Mouse - Building Nothing Out of Something
Modest Mouse - The Fruit That Ate Itself
Modest Mouse - Good News (white vinyl repress)
Modest Mouse - Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks (my cousin gifted me this. It's probably my most played modest mouse album)
Iron and Wine - The Creek Drank the Cradle
Iron and Wine - Our Endless Numbered Days
Iron and Wine - The Shepherd's Dog
Bon Iver - For Emma
Bon Iver - Blood Bank
The Avett Brothers - Four Thieves Gone (white vinyl repress)
The Avett Brothers - Emotionalism
The Avett Brothers - The Gleam II
Josh T Pearson - Last of the Country Gentlemen
Townes Van Zandt - Flyin Shoes
Townes Van Zandt - Our Mother the Mountain
Townes Van Zandt - self titled
Townes Van Zandt - Live at the Old Quarter
a lot of wynton marsalis and other more modern jazz
Kanye - Late Registration
Kanye - MBDTF
Kanye - Yeezus
Kanye - Registration (purple vinyl)
Kanye - 808's (most recent repress)
Kanye - Watch the Throne
It would take me way too long to go through all the old rock, bluegrass, country, prairie home companion and jazz that I have from my parents' collection.
