Is there anything I can do for you to help alleviate the bad experience you had? If the tips were given in form of NMTs, I can give you some. I don't really use NMTs, and I only print tickets to give them to people, either as tips or gifts.

I'm very sorry to hear this happened to you. I won't host multiple people in my town for this very reason, one at a time is the safest way to go. I honestly don't see a need to invite multiple people at once, the cutscenes are going to make the wait really long either way.

I hope you can recover some of your tips. Stealing in a game is just.. super sleazy and unnecessary. Hopefully the thief will get caught if/when they try to do it again and get the feedback they deserve.

this is why i only let in a max of 2 people at a time whenever my villagers are crafting, and i wait for both to show up, so i don't have this happen

so i posted a thread in the airport as soon as i saw monty crafting the ironwood table to let people over, some people dropped tips and simple.

so i came outside to find all the tips gone, and someone had stolen them. i was so disappointed that i thought i could trust someone, not only am i upset, i'm upset for the people who left me tips only to have them be stolen. i have my suspicions on someone, but i'm not sure, and they said they didn't do it. it's really the first bad trading experience i've had with someone, it just makes me upset that people have the guts to steal things that aren't theirs :/

Does it help if I told you I lost x100 Nook miles tickets today? Someone sold me a "Genuine" Valiant statue and I got scammed for the fake one. Im on the dissapointed boat with you. :/

I'm so sorry this happened to you . It's horrible that people can even think of stealing tips. I think next time consider bringing only 1 or 2 people at once to control the traffic cause it can get pretty hectic.

thank you everyone for your sympathy, it makes me feel a little better!

my concern is for the people who left me tips, i feel so irresponsible for not taking them while they dropped them, i guess i thought i could trust people to not pick up what was left on the ground, i feel so stupid.

i have a couple people of who it could be, because they were available at my island during the time that the tips were stolen. i only allowed 3 people at a time.

there was a time when i had tons of NMT on my ground, so i had to fence them off because i didn't want to risk someone taking them either
