Does anybody else put their stuff in the flea market & the minute a villager comes in you would push them in front of the item you're selling? They get a surprised reaction instantly & end up buying the item I just put up! Worked every time! :D

I find that they are hopelessly attracted to fossils! But clothes and accessories are actually ignored. I haven't had a single villager buy any item of clothing in Re-Tail. They will, however, wear my designs from the Able Sisters' shop. :)

After ripping off the sleeves, right? Cracks me up each time I see Cyrano in that sleek suit and tie but no sleeves. Those pits gotta BREATHE. XD

I've not used the flea market much. Most of the time if I get a villager to buy something they regret the purchase afterwards and then I feel guilty. Maybe I price things too high? Maybe the style of furniture they end up with doesn't match their preferences? I really don't know...

*LOL* They do rip out the sleeves! Avery does that every time. Heh.

Pricing works if you just x4 the price Reese suggests, then -1. So, if your item or fossil is valued at 2000, let it go for 7,999. The bigger fossils are worth more money but the maximum amount a villager will pay is 9,999 so you can't price any of those higher.

I do that all the time too. I normally put up the ores I don't need or the coffee beans. (:

I didn't know this; I'll wait @ Retail waiting for the ! sound. Talk about ZzZZzzzzz... Thanks for the tip! :D

Yes! Push them right to your items! I pretty much 'own' Re-Tail. ;) My silver shovel yields more ores and nuggets than I know what to do with, so I sell them every day, all day. I steadily occupy every display stand at Re-Tail. I always have a few ores in my pocket to replenish the ones that are sold since they go pretty quickly! I price the ores/gems at $6K each and the silver/gold nuggets at $7.5-$9K each. It's a nice little side business for me. The real bell maker is on the island, but my gem business at Re-Tail pays the day to day bills. I only shake trees when my villagers crave fruit. ;)

I never knew you could do that! Wow, that's cool. I should try it...but my villagers hardly come into Re-Tail, and it would take a while for me to get used to pushing my villagers, haha. Literally! I don't like to push them! :D

I always do that too, although there were times where they didn't get that surprised reaction even though I kept pushing them to the items I'm selling so I just gave up and left :(

I always feel terrible for doing this since my villagers' houses just end up being filled with random fossil pieces, haha.

90% of follsiles can be sold for 9999 bells. Most gems can be sold to them for 7500-9999

Yes, that is why I stick with just selling gems - they don't show up in their houses. I do not like to see villager's homes filled with junk that takes away from the design of their interior!

Really? I've found that most villagers complain when the price of a gem is above 6.5k. Maybe I just have stingy villagers! I keep the price of gems at 6-6.5k. Gold and silver nuggets sell for more without a problem.

i was experimenting once so I put up some wrapping paper at re-tail for 5,000 bells. when a villager came in I pushed them up to it and they were like 'ooooo it's so cheap!" and then bought it. xD
