re-tail habit??

yes i push them in front of stuff lmao

i only have gems displayed in my retail so whenever someone enters i'll push them in front of one and let them ping... that's how i make a lot of money lmao

The ores thing is really clever. Think I'll start doing that to be honest haha

And yeah, I push them too, might be rude but y'know. It goes towards the PwPs they never donate for :P

that's really clever, i might just start doing that from now on! how much do you usually price them at? usually anything above 3,000 bells is considered too expensive to them ;A;

Sometimes I push them, but normally I just let them buy whatever they want - I sell a lot at the flea market (I play with all characters, mayor & alts & they all sell)

- I generally sell the ores (apart from the gold), superb coffee beans and baskets of fruit - island fruit in nines, foreign town fruit in fives and perfect foreign fruit as singles - the general rule is 4x the price Reese offers to buy at, less one bell, up to a max of 9,999.
If you have high friendship with a villager - they may buy over that general rule - seen it posted but not experienced it myself (If I put the price over the rule, they tell me its too expensive).

All the above items do not get put in a villagers house.
I fill all the spaces, do not allow my villagers to put up items for sale - if you have a villager with sloppy items - & you want a chance of getting, then leave spaces free at Reese - as its been posted that villagers may (but its rareish) put sloppy items up for sale.

If you have Bell Boom on - the "4x less one bell the price Reese offers" does not hold, its still 4x less one bell of the non bell boom price (ie as a rough rule, if Bell Boom on, then multiply what Reese suggests by 3.3, its a bit low its really 3.3 recurring).

does anyone else do this thing where you put something up in the flea market and once someone enters the shop you push them in front of your item and force them to look at it so they'd buy it? currently struggling and REALLY frustrated as marshal asked to buy every single item except mine... lol

I always do

HAHA yeah I always pushed my villagers into the things I wanted them to buy, but I don't really do it anymore now.

My habit at Re-Tail is rather buying than selling - once I've bought three items that my villager Pietro pinged on literally a second beforehand.

But selling ores sounds like a good idea, I might actually try it.

Villagers will buy any item for four times minus 1 bell the price Reese will buy it for as long as it is no more than 10,000 bells.

Example:
Item would sell to Reese for 1500 bells
1500 * 4 - 1 = 5999 bells flea market price

Example 2:
Item would sell to Reese for 8000 bells
10,000 bells maximum flea market price

That's exactly what I did, I finally stopped when I went to a house and realized it was filled with junk. Now I only do it when I think its something that will go well in their house.

I knowwww! I had to cycle two villagers out of my town because their houses were such an embarrassment after they bought all the fossils I put up. Now all I sell is coffee beans.
