rare mushrooms look like fossils.

looks like only one recipe needs the rare mushroom. i am actually tempted to lower my island rating to get less of them after finding 2 today

I haven't had any luck finding rare mushrooms underground. I've been digging up fossils for reasons, though, so it's all good. My concern is do you need a 5 star rating island in order to get rare mushrooms? I hope not. I had a 5 star island, but I started removing stuff and I know it's not 5 star anymore.

i think having a 4/5 star island makes them have a higher spawn rate, but you can still get them with a lower star island. theyre just even more rare.

I mean the dig spot star is for anything buried

fossils, rare shroom, pitfalls, gyroids (whenever those return), misc crap...

so I get what you were saying, but the op was highly misleading and very wrong in that regard

i was just trying to say that rare mushrooms were digable, and appeared as 'digable' stars. being new i had no idea that was even a thing. so that's why i stated that 2 of the 6 'stars' were actually mushrooms and i didn't discover that until i started to look for my fossils.

sorry for any confusion i guess. i didn't realize it was misleading.

i can confirm they spawn with less than 5 star rating. i think i'm at 4 right now c:

They still look like bear dung......textured bear dung this time around.I seem to remember that they were more smooth and round in New Leaf.
