rare fish or bug advantages?

i've had a few rare fish or bugs that are sitting in my inventory doing nothing, but i'm afraid to give them to villagers , is there any point to them?

You will get better rewards if you give the villagers better fish and bugs, which include a chance to get a common fortune cookie. No real reason not to give them to villagers unless you really need the bells. If that's the case you can sell them or put them in your market boxes to potentially get a slightly bigger return, but it may take a while to sell depending on your friends needs.

more bells from the villagers, more material, chance for a treat and a chance for a free cookie (just the normal type, clothing, timmy and tommy) are all great reasons to give them. I seem to have better luck with the cookies when they are in my campsite, although a tuna and a koi are a 100% chance for a cookie no matter where they are located.

ohhhh that makes sense, it doesn't affect friendship huh? yeah i'll probably give them away more often now, i don't think any of my friends would buy them, thank you!
