it's really surprising to me just how many people in this thread don't like peppies! I thought they were one of the more well-liked personalities actually. I'm a big fan of them too

Smug and Snooty are my favourites because I relate to them the most.
Normals definitely aren't the most exciting or eccentric but they're so sweet and, with mine at least, I have noticed that they do have their quirks, I think they're just less obvious than the other personalities.
I know most won't agree but I still think it takes some time for crankies to warm up to you properly. Little things like waving to them and them more often than not either completely blanking you or just giving a faint smile kind of shows it imo.
Jocks are pretty funny and I like the muscle talk tbh. Uchis are slowly growing on me and peppies are just fine, there's no way I could have more than 1 though.
Lazies are honestly the only personality type I'm really not liking because they're just so gross now, the constant talk of bugs and food stains is absolutely grim and I can't get on with it. I'm a neat freak in reality though so I guess I'm inherently biased against them. I miss how they were just chill and pretty aloof in the previous games.

Ok now let me explain myself. For Normal, I don't really like how repetitive their lines are but so many of my favorite designs are Normal, so my vote is based on that as well (If i could deal with them all having the same dialog, I would have 7 Normals in my town)
I love Peppies, they are all so cute, I wish them the best of luck on their dream of becoming an idol :3
As for why Jocks are rock bottom..... I really just can't stand them consantly talking about their muscles and how sweaty they are. One told me that I could probably smell the sweat in their house. Ew.. They are always bragging about it too and I just, can't stand them. The only personality I refuse to have on my island.

Smug i hate the most, these villagers always make me uncomfortable especially when they act flirty. It feels wrong and they give me the ick lmao

NH definitely changed this ordering for me. Sisterly used to be my by far least fave after NL while the Peppy villagers were by far my fave personality type of the girls.

Pretty much this and they are all on pretty even ranking until Normal. I don't dislike normal dialog and think it's much better than it was in New Leaf but they are still missing something to make it a really stand out personality. I think they should be more insecure. Jock...needs variation. So much more variation.
