Captain Falcon > every Smash character ever

Nah, but seriously.
- Cloud (I've never played FFVII (I've had plans to for about a year now), but Cloud feels really fun to play. Man, I really love this guy.)
- Lucas (I'm a Mother fanboy, Mother 3 especially, and this guy was my main in Brawl, and my secondary main in the Wii U version. I just can't dislike Lucas.)
- Roy (I've only gotten 30 Minutes into FE6, but Roy was my main in Melee, and was for a long time in Project M. Use him a lot in Smash Wii U, too.)
- Ryu (Never played SF, and I'm not all that attached to Ryu either. Although I'll admit, he generates a lot of hype.)
- Mewtwo (I use Mewtwo quite a bit, although I'm not a fan of his floatiness. Still, I prefer him a lot over Jigglypuff because c'mon, it's ****ing Mewtwo.)

Not gonna rank Corrin and Bayonetta yet since I want to wait for them to come out before I judge them.

Spoiler: 1 - Ryu

Street Fighter is one of my favorite series from one of my favorite genres, so having Ryu in there is awesome. He's not actually my favorite from Street Fighter (Chun-Li or Sakura would take that), but he's the best choice to use in Smash...Or Dan. It would have been funny if they used Dan. Dan should have won the Smash ballot.

Plus, Street Fighter needed Smash rep. It was a system seller for Nintendo "back in't day" and it defined the fighting genre. Not having a Street Fighter rep in a Nintendo history fighting game (especially now they've started adding more third parties) would have been a sin.

Missed opportunity by not making Ken an alternate skin for him though.

Spoiler: 2 - Cloud

He wouldn't be my first choice, or second...Or even like 12th, but he's the only way Final Fantasy was going to make it to Smash. There's nowhere near as much buzz around any other character from Final Fantasy to make adding them worthwhile.

But he's still an okay character though and I kinda like how he plays. The Advent Children outfit was a nice touch as well, especially since I massively prefer it to his original look.

It could have been worse. Square could have tried to shoehorn god damn Lightning into something else...(wouldn't surprise me if they did try)

Spoiler: 3 - Corrin

I don't really know much about Corrin yet in Smash or FE, but she's a Fire Emblem character that isn't just another clone. I like her existence for that alone. Fire Emblem at least doesn't have more clones than originals now...

Would have preferred something other than another sword user though. Anybody would think that all FE has to offer are sword users based on the Smash roster (even Robin is still pretty much a sword user). Throw in a heavyweight lance user or something!

Spoiler: 4 - Mewtwo

He was free.

I think if I had to pay for him though I wouldn't have bothered getting him, maybe just used him when at friends for free. I did like using him back in Melee occasionally though, so it's nice he's back at least.

Spoiler: 5 - Roy

I never cared all that much for Roy in Melee. In crossover games, I don't really care about characters when I've not played their games (though their inclusion usually makes me look into the games at least). I usually 'do what I have to' for completion and then never use them again.

I like him as his a character now I've played his game and know who he is, but I don't care for him in Smash 4 pretty much because Lucina came in to Smash before Roy made a return. He's less of a clone than her, but I had already took a liking to her before he came back. Since I think one clone of a character is enough and I prefer her playstyle to his (as well as her being a bump up to the number of female characters), it's pretty much down to bad timing that I don't care for Roy.

Though I think it's nice he's back for those who did want him. I know it would suck if a character I like didn't return (which so far hasn't happened). I don't really agree with taking first party characters out of the game for this very reason, especially since it's happened with characters I liked in other fighting games (though I accept third party might not due to licencing).

Spoiler: 6 - Lucas

Never played the Earthbound/Mother games so my knowledge of him starts and ends with Smash. Pretty much the same reasoning to why I didn't play Roy in Melee.

Same as Roy though, it's nice he's back for those who did care.

Spoiler: 7 - Bayonetta

I don't like her. The character Bayonetta is by far the worst part of the game Bayonetta.

1. Roy (to me, even though he is quite similar to Marth, he is somewhat unique. More unique than Lucina anyways.)
2. Lucas (I didn't understand why he didn't come back in the original roster so Im glad he made some kind of come back)
3. Mewtwo (While I dont like using him, he is somewhat unique, and his weight makes him a challenge to play as. Definitely to give a challenge and I like that in a character)
4. Corrin (While another FE rep was not what other fans wanted, I think putting Corrin in the game was very smart. FE is more popular than Zelda in Japan, and vice versa in America. Plus his game is coming out soon. If people enjoy playing as him, they are more likely to try his game)
5. Cloud (Fun to play as, although I don't really see the point in having him)
6. Ryu (While he is a bit more understandable then Cloud, I personally don't like his inclusion)
7. Bayonetta (Why.)

Lucas - Love this kid.
Mewtwo - Love this mutation
Bayonetta - She looks badass and I love her.
Ryu - I'm like how he plays, and he's kinda cute. That's all.
Cloud - Didn't like FF7, but he plays well.
Roy - No.
Corrin - No.

My list is based on like shock value and just the surprise of each one being in the game.

1. Mewtwo- Mewtwo got shafted for brawl, and I think a lot of people were pretty sure he was gone for good... so his return was that much more glorious! I got super hype for his release and my friends had a party when he did finally come out
2. Cloud- I don't even play FF, but I can recognize just how awesome his appearance is... fricking epic, character is really fun to play as too
3. Bayonetta- while maybe not as farfetched as cloud to be included, the fact that they are adding her and sticking to her humor, sexiness (somewhat), and overall style is pretty commendable
4. Ryu- I had to admit I was shocked to see he got added, but then I played him and he sucked
5. Roy- More and more I like playing as Roy, but lets be real, we all called this one...
6. Lucas- I always liked Lucas better than ness, but again we knew this was coming, so kinda like... why did you make me have to purchase him?
7. Corrin- I am getting more and more upset about his existence.... Fire Emblem has more than enough reps, and I feel like it was a cop out and sell out for nintendo to include him
