Just thought this was odd,

Is the document stack the only item you can buy from nook shopping and create from the DIY list?

I am curious why this is, even though there may be no real reason.

Actually, Document stack is used to create scattered papers. While Scattered Papers is used to create Document Stack. Both are also purchasable from Nooks and Catalog.

As for the why this is a thing. Most likely it was planned to be part of other DIY much like books and magazines. Just not implemented.... yet. ;P
