Have you ever raged quit in a game before? Tell a story about what happen that made you rage quit in any game.

So I went to the Island so see if I can find any rare items and look for some flowers. Than I saw that Treasure Chest sitting there...calling my name saying "Claire....Claire...buy me now...buy...me" so I quickly jumped on a boat for an Elite Scavenger Tour. But I freaking lost and didn't get any medals because I didn't know what a "Bishop" was. I screamed at my game, shut the power off, than proceeded to throw my stylus across the room and kick my pillows...

dang geekaloompa-- good thing you didnt take a stab at today's "Find the Hidden Present" event... I think a lot of people were ready to rage-quit this forum...

next time that happens at the island, just set your 3DS down gently without powering off; THEN throw your stylus and kick your pillows. THEN get back in the next scavenger hunt-- it's fast, it's easy, and it's worth a ton of medals. turn those tour boats back on....

Kids these days don't have an appreciation for chess... sigh...

ah yes-- geekaloompa, study those chess pieces, because the chess pieces are commonly objects you have to look for in the island scavenger hunt game...

along with the musical instruments, the house plants and the bonsai plants, and the totem poles if i recall correctly...

You don't really need to know all of the instruments, plants, totem poles, etc. You just have to take anything that looks like it might be an item on your list and then drop everything else at the end.

that's true- a lot of people do it that way; i find i save time just grabbing the right one (mostly) the first time, but sometimes those cellos/violins look the same and plants do too and i grab a few of them to sort out at the plaza

I will throw my DS and than I will educate myself and study how to play chess. Than I will go back and go on another tour....oh wait... :P

It's important to learn how to deal with frustration folks. Many people don't nowadays.

I hope it's okay to share this, but I found a great visual guide for the elite scavenger tour. I relied on it for a while for the posts and totem poles: http://shatteredearth.net/scavengertour/

It's great until you get used to it, soon enough you'll memorize it all and it'll be one of the easiest tours! (-:

want some tips for the scavenger hunt? c: well, i'm gonna give you some anyway!!

if playing alone, grab anything that looks like something that could be on your list (and if you don't know what something is, grab everything in the house!) then go outside and drop whatever you don't need.

if playing with others, go in the house, pick up everything inside, leave the house and drop everything in front. if something on your list is among them, keep it in your pockets. if everyone else does the same, the scavenger hunt should be a breeze!!

hope this helps, and good luck with the next scavenger hunt!

How come you didn't just try another tour after you lost? Something easier, like catching fish or bugs?

Anyway, here's a tip for next time: Go to your own island and earn a lot of medals. Then, go to Club Tortimer and buy the items you want. I have 400 right now. I always run in and out quickly so no one will bother me.

I'm sure doing another tour after that would've been way quicker than trying to find the treasure chest again...

You could've just done more tours lol. But it's ok *gives you cookie and smiles* :D

Try not to throw stuff next time.

If you didn't shut it off you could have damaged your SD card.
