Rafflesia Question

This crap refuses to leave my town. Lol I've picked up every clover and pulled every weed. I make sure I dig up everything, just in case if there are any Gyroids. Why is this thing not wilting? Can bamboo stumps be the problem? I have a handful of them around for decoration. Could that be an issue? I would like to mention that the Rafflesia was there waaaay before I even started planting the bamboo.

Any advice would be nice.

Ah, I've just checked the Wiki and Rafflesias have different spawning conditions in New Leaf.

Rafflesias spawn in underdeveloped towns. When you have less that 3 PWPs and a low number of trees, it'll spawn. Weeds and such have no effect on it spawning. (http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Rafflesia)

So to remove it you need to add more PWPs (more than 3) and trees to your town.

Oh god this might be the problem. I cut down almost all of my trees and I only have 1 PwP. Lol thanks for getting that link. I couldn't find anything when I searched it.

I had the same problem. In my new town, I cut down every tree to make room for PWP and plant planning. A few days later I got it and was so confused, until I learned they don't spawn just because of weeds.

Lots of stuff on the ground can also causes a rafflesia, that happened to me once.
