The Bell Tree Fair 2013 Patch
I remade my town in the last week, and because I didn't have enough room yet for all my old stuff that I'd stored in another town, I just had it all on the floor around the train staion.

And then...

NO!!!

The horrible Rafflesia flower had appeared!

I'd heard that these could be quite annoying to get rid of, but I still had no where to put my stuff, so I figured I'd just have to deal with it for a few days until I got a bigger house. But on a whim I tried to put a PWP in it's place, to see if Isabelle would say she'd have to get rid of the Rafflesia in order to put the PWP there.

And Hallelujah! It worked!

I just thought I'd make a post about it, just in case someone didn't know this and gets a Rafflesia in their town for whatever reason. :)

Oh and I think it's best to stand right in front of the Rafflesia when telling Isabelle the location, to get it in the right place to get rid of it.

Maybe I'm crazy but I actually like the look of the rafflesia
Reminds me of a buried venasaur

Am I allowed to be dumb here and ask what the thing is for? I've never heard of this flower(?) before. I gather it appears when you leave stuff on the ground, but I do that all the time. Does it do anything? Like attracting bugs or butterflies?

I'm with you in the Raffelasia Land of the Dumb... :)

Flies perhaps.

It attracts flies, lots of flies, and most people generally think it looks hideous.
Has anyone ever seen a real one? They smell awful...

I think it appears if you leave your town for a long time. I've never had it happen in any of my towns personally, but when I got a new Wild World game years back the town on the game had one in it. (Wild World is an old game so you can't really find any that haven't ever been used anymore.) I'm guessing the town was probably a year or maybe even up to three years old at the time.

False. If you don't weed and play, then you get it. I once TTed to 6/19/2025 (it's a CoD reference, never played a game, only seen a walkthrough), no ralfessia.

It usually has flies around it all the time. And it makes your town rating drop in a flash.

And to those of you who are saying how it appears, yes, it may do it in the ways you are saying, but for me it appeared without TTing more than a day at a time, and I had hardly any weeds. It was purely because I had a lot of clutter on the ground and I didn't have my town ordinance on the beautiful town. I'm sure if I picked up all the things on the floor it would have gone away, but I couldn't do that, so using a PWP was the next best way.

I had one in City Folk because I had TONNES of weeds (literally covering the entire town)

I think they're neat, too. If we could pick and keep one in our house or museum, I'd let my town go to crap to get one. LOL

Technically, there already is one in the museum if you check the insect section. Heh.

I'm sure you meant one you could physically pick up.

Ew. It looks gross D:
I've never seen one, and happy not to!
