Quick tips that you may not know about

Just thought I'd give a few tips to help others improve their gameplay experience. These are tips I discovered myself, and some of you may already know about them as they're pretty obvious.

But anyways

Tip # 1
Better dialogue skip
Tired of having to skip dialogue message all day, from Reese or Isabelle when she denies your project placements? Here's the solution to make skipping easier.
Just simply hold R, an the dialogue is instantly sped up. You can even combine B with this. This is pretty much the fastest way to skip dialogue.

Tip # 2
Save your battery life longer
Been grabbing your charger a lot lately haven't you? Especially for this game, while playing online. online play + top brightness + 3D will KILL your battery quick.
So for a longer lasting battery, use these tips.

No 3D - it isn't needed for this game. 3D is one of the biggest battery drainers on the system.

Lower the brightness to 1 - The second factor to battery drainage is brightness. Trust me on this one, setting the brightness to 1 works out great. You'll adjust to the dim screen within time, til it looks completely normal to you. Just be sure to turn power saver off though.
This is also a good way of preserving your 3DS battery, if you want to have a longer lasting battery. One that lasts more than 3 years or so.

One other tip for preserving your battery is to charge, only when your 3DS is blinking red. Your battery only has a limited number of re charges til it can't recharge anymore. About 5,000 charges. So if you're charging your system every second, for no reason, you'll only be wasting your number of recharges.

Tip # 3
Don't let the fish get the best of you
When I first started shark fishing, I missed a ton of sharks, cuz they were too fast. But now I've gotten better, and I'm almost flawless at catching them. There's a tip to catching them easier:
SOUND
Yep, all you need to do is listen for the splash sound. That's what you're reacting to, not the bobber in the water. You can listen and watch though.
Using headphones is recommended for a better experience, as you'll hear the splash sound much better than usual. Especially if you have a brother who's playing loud music in the room. You WILL most likely fail at catching anything without sound.

One thing that I've noticed is that even if you have your game in sleep mode it will count as you are playing for your game settings And for the game itself. (that is how I got the maximum tan... in my town lol)

Wow xD I wasn't sure if sleep mode counted as game time. I always regretted folding my 3DS. As I speak, my 3DS is left on, soley to get game time. I left it here as I went to eat and walk my dog lol

I thought brighter brightness while playing in the dark was worse. If this is true, then just go with brightness of 2 at the least.
You may be right on this, I've been feeling my eyes hurting after playing for an hour or 2. Im pretty careless with my eyes I guess xD

xD Glad I can help. May the way of shark catching be with you. You gotta be ready for the shark.
Sometimes I react instantly to the sharks splashing. I be like o_0 did I just do that to a shark
Just don't be too anxious to pull it. It usually bites after 1,2,3 bites. Anything after that, you have bad luck. It's tricky when the shark wants to do 5 bites lol

xD Yes power save mode does save more battery, but I don't want my screen to get more dim than it already is. I'd say you'd be fine with brightness setting 2 at least. 1 is for real power savers who want to preserve the battery.
Overcharging can really lessen the battery's life.

There's a charge limit?

I only read about this somewhere, so I don't know if it's true. But I'll beleive that overcharging reduces the battery life span. I used to recharge my GBA sp like crazy, even when it was full I tried charging it. Little did I know that I was abusing my battery.

There's a charge limit, at least for the other DSes. My brother had to get a new battery because his old one ran out.

all batteries do that, unfortunately. you're not supposed to use a device while charging the battery if it's already charged, it's really bad for it. i learned this with my old laptop - i couldn't keep it unplugged for 7 minutes without it dying!
