Quick ques: why do ppl open up their island when Celeste is visiting?

I just noticed ppl are very excited to try and get in - they offer up stuff. is it bc she gives out DIYs?

She gives out DIYs, but also if there's shooting stars, you can wish on them on then you will get star fragments on your own beach the next day.

diys mainly, though if it's an active meteor shower, then sticking around for wishes is nice too
