Quick plot reset questions! (Please help so I can go to bed!)

It's almost 2am and I've been plot resetting since 7pm last night and I'm exhausted and angry. Sorry I've posted so many questions but new threads get looked at faster than the questions thread and I need to know quickly please.

- If I go to sleep for the night will I still be able to plot reset tomorrow?

and

- If I play a different game for a bit (like a different AC town) will I still be able to plot reset in this town whenever I pick it back up?

I used the in-game clock to set the time back to plot reset, not my DS clock if that makes a difference.

As long as you start with a new character, you can plot reset. However, personally, I tend to avoid using the in-game clock to plot reset. What I'd do is change your DS clock a few days into the future and then start your game with a new character. As long as you don't load the game with your mayor you will be able to plot reset. After that you can change the date to the one you want, in both your game and DS (of course, make sure to write them all down first).

Yes, you will still be able to plot reset. What I tend to do is use the DS clock to go back to the day the plot shows up. That way you can still stay on the same day without worrying (but make sure to use a new save file!).

This isn't even the longest amount of time I've spent plot resetting but I usually do it on weekends (by adopting only on fridays) but I thought I'd be able to handle it tonight. I need sleep though because I'm starting to get resentful haha. I'm just glad to know I can pick it up tomorrow and not have wasted all these hours.

just start up with a new character and you'll be fine.

it doesn't matter how long you take - months, days and even years! You can plot reset if you time travel to any day, time or year. Though, you can't plot reset if you load a character (●?ω｀●).

So as long as I load as a new character, I can pick up my game at any time and still plot reset, no matter what the date in game will be? Like if they plot on monday in game and on wednesday in game I start a new character to reset, will that work?
