Quick Mushroom Question

Do you have to have a perfect town to get Famous Mushrooms (the red ones with white spots)? I have a spare town and I've just TTed through November twice and have not found a single one yet.

Also, I'm saving all of my elegant mushrooms and some regular ones. But, as you can imagine I'll soon be overloaded with regular mushrooms and I was wondering if any of them are worth saving to trade or sell? Which ones seem to be most sought after for landscaping? Out of common, skinny, flat, etc.

You can actually get famous mushroom all year round. All you need is to chop down trees until you find a stump with a special design on it (like the image below). I don't think selling the round, or common, or skinny mushroom are worth selling at retail, but they could be good to sell or trade on TBT. Rare and Famous mushrooms will give you like 10k each at retail, but would also be great to sell/trade on TBT!

Thank you! I actually forgot to mention I have 3 or 4 special stumps too. I've been staying in November so I can collect a lot of all the types. Do you think moving out of November will help my chances of getting a Famous one? Maybe too many common ones are spawning and not giving the famous ones a chance.

I'm working on getting more stumps, but I only have normal axes, so it's been slow going.

Yeah I would definitely sell/get rid of common, skinny, and flat, although people do sell them on here the elegant mushrooms and famous mushrooms are worth more especially at retail and on here, but like they said ^^ keep only the special stumps and get rid of the rest or at least limit them. Your town can only spawn a certain number of mushrooms a day and if the regular stumps outnumber the special stumps then it won?t give them a chance to spawn. There are certain patterns to stumps that make certain mushrooms so make sure you have the right ones and just keep trying because as far as I know you don?t need a perfect town to spawn those.

I'm not really sure. I just want to start laying a few around my town and see how they look. At this point I'd be happy to find any since I haven't even seen one yet.
