Quick hybrid question

If I wanted to breed pink hyacinths would it be more efficient to breed red X white hyacinths or just multiple pink hyacinths?

Having hybrids of the same type and color is more efficient to breed that certain hybrid. Or plant an X of red hyacinths and outline it with white hyacinths. Also works great with roses, tulips and cosmos.
