I'm making a sig in gimp, and I was wondering if you could make the color of text a gradient.

If it is possible, can you explain how to do it?

Unless you want to go into clipping masks the only way I can think is to use brushes over the text which usually looks messy (But how I did it on the text in my sig before I learnt to do clipping masks in Photoshop).

I use Photoshop so Clipping Masks are easy but in GIMP I've heard they're not.

I suppose I could do it manually, but seeing as my text I'm going to use is blurry on the edges, I think I'll just use the solid fill....

Ok ^_^

The text I used was pretty basic so it wasn't too bad.
