I'm thinking about making a second character on my island for various reasons...storage, another house to decorate, but mainly because I'm not 100% into the name I chose for my main character. Rather than starting in over, like I was tempted to, I thought I'd try making a new character first. I have a couple of questions though.

1. When making a new Switch profile I should link it to my existing nintendo account, correct?

2. What will my second characters limitations be? I can still terraform, right? Can I build bridges and inclines and move villager houses?

Basically I'm hoping my new character will become my new "main character" so I'd like to know which tasks will require me to log back in to my island representative to complete.

1. I made a separate nintendo account for my second character. I'm not sure if you can link it to your existing one or not. Hopefully someone else knows.
2. yes you can terraform. You can't move villager houses or build bridges/inclines though. The only building you can move is your own house.

Hi!
I've made another character few days ago for the same reasons and I think you need to make another account for your new profile. So you'll need two nintendo online to access the online or a familial one. I did this one.
You cannot move anything else than your own house I think, but you can terraform. You cannot build bridges etc I think but I'm not sure

1. You will have to have a different email address for your second profile if you want it to be autonomous.
2. Yes, you can terraform, and yes, it's limited. As Her Majesty mentioned, you can move your own home, but otherwise, you don't have control over other buildings.
