Questions about Halloween

I know how Halloween works I would just like clarification on a couple things. I know that giving Jack lollipops is the only way to get pieces of the Creepy series. However I have read differing things on what he gives you for regular candy. I have read that he gives you pieces of the Spooky series and I have read he gives you masks. Which is correct? Or is it both?

On the subject of the Creepy series, as I said getting those requires giving Jack lollipops. You get lollipops by going into villagers homes wearing the mask they find scariest. They will only give you one lollipop. Period. That being said we only have a max of 10 villagers and there are more than 10 pieces in that set. And I'm gonna guess Jack might give you the same piece more than once. Either way this means you have to do Halloween more than once to get the full set right?

I think Jack can give you either spooky set items or masks. But I'm not sure about your other question. I haven't played Halloween yet.

Jack gives you furniture. An item from the creepy set if you give a lollipop and an item from the spooky set if you give a candy. The chances of getting a creepy item from a candy are very low.

However, if you want a mask, as in any of the 4 different colored pumpkin masks (pink, purple, yellow, green) the villagers wear, what you can do is approach the villager whose pumpkin mask you want, make sure you aren't wearing a mask yourself, refuse to give a candy when asked and proceed to lose the game you play with the villager. He will then give you the same mask he's wearing. I like these pumpkin masks. They look great in a Halloween themed room.

Also put all your candy outside. If you leave town (by entering a room or going to mainstreet) everyone outside will change their position, making it harder to locate Jack. If you are caught by a villager you give them candy or they change your clothes. If you happen to find Jack you get the furniture. This same furniture can also be bought in the shops so candy sorta is a cheaper way to get them.

To get Lolipop's you scare villagers that are inside, with one of the 6 masks you buy from Able's. Each villager is scared of a different mask depending on their personality and animal type. If you scare them you get a Lolipop. How many I don't know, but I am focused on getting these since they give you rare Halloween furniture. Maybe if you quit the game and login again you can repeat scaring them for more Loli's? Or try visiting other towns and scare villagers there.

Advice in advance:
Keep everything that's valuable at home, including tools because Jack can alter them. Also change your clothes to something you don't care about because villagers can alter your outfit if you don't have candy on you. I don't know if a pattern outfit works for this.

One question: I saw people collecting spooky furnitures, do they contribute something on the Halloween event, or just for collection?

I've been collecting multiple masks of each kind from the Able Sisters. I plan on leaving the mask that scares each villager outside of their house, so come Halloween night when I go to their house, the mask is right there for me to put on and a wandering villager can't mess with it while I wear it or have it in my pocket. I plan on having clothes on that I don't care about and having candy in my 10 letter slots as well as some in my pocket. Might try having clothes and furniture that I don't care about in my pocket, to see if that helps get certain things. If/When I get something from a scared or wandering villager or Jack, I will put it into a letter slot and take that piece of candy out. That way the next villager can't change it into something else. Hope this works, this will be my first Halloween in AC, WW didn't have Halloween.
