So I feel kind of dumb for asking this but is there a way to see how many visitors I've gotten or should I just keep guessing until Porter says something?

Not that I know of, you're just going to have to wait it out or guess how many people have visited.

Once your town tree has reached stage four (which is after 50 hours and 50 days of gameplay), you can sit on the ledge of the tree and you'll be able to see the history of your town; it'll say how many visitors you've had at the end.

If your tree is big enough in the plaza, you can sit on the brick and see your town's history. At the very end it will give you a visitor count.

Oh, I knew about being able to sit under your tree after so many days, but I didn't know it told you how many visitors you got in your town. X)
