Question: Starting over?

Hey everyone, I just have been thinking lately and it's been a while of me playing this town. I have tons of items and clothes and the QR code thing.. but there are lots of bad things in my town..

CONS for Restarting:
>Losing my loans/Mortgage level
>Losing my items/clothes that I spent so long getting to make myself look perfect
>Losing things like Kicks and QR codes, the Salon and Cyrus, etc..
>Losing the paths I spent like 4 hours making

PROS for Restarting:
>Better name (already figured mine out)
>Better villagers (I hate these people D: Except maybe Kabuki)
>Better map (oh god, my map is horrible)
>Could probably give my items to a friend to hold while restarting; Kinda cheaty though :/
>This time not to TT so I don't feel like I'm cheating.

So, My question is, should I restart? I found more pros for restarting but I worked SO HARD to get my city the way it is now, Idk, maybe I should just buy another game whole? :/ You tell me, looking for your opinions. Thanks.

Well, if you've had thoughts about restarting, then restart. If you liked your town, you wouldn't think about restarting, so go for it.

I restarted and it was the best decision EVER, of my starting 9 villagers, 6 of them are my dream villagers, my layout is much better, ive progressed faster as i know exactly what to do
i got someone to hold my items so i lost nothing, i didnt lose any bells, or any furniture or anything :L so all in all it was very good

I don't think that's cheating. To be honest, you worked for those things, and if you reset, that's wiping away all work you did. You may as well try to save *some* of that work by keeping your items.

You said you don't want to TT if you reset. That's a nice thought, but keep in mind that if you reset, you will lose your Nookling upgrades, all other stores you unlocked, the public works you unlocked, the ability to use QR codes, the ability to have Cyrus customize furniture, the ability to go to the island, all badges you earned, bugs/fossils/fish/art you'd donated to the museum, all visits you'd gotten (if you're trying to unlock train station upgrades), your house upgrades, etc.

You can obviously get all of those again, but it'll take varying amounts of time to unlock them all again if you don't TT.

I haven't TT on my new file, so don;t have the shops, but i dont mind because i have all my items/bells so can set up my room and house just as i had it, so i dont feel the need to buy anything yet

If you're afraid about losing your paths you can get them back by visiting your old town via dream suite, I recovered my old town flag from my old town (pretty funny visiting my old town), but you can't modify them.

Hmmm...I would, if I were you. The map is a huge deal and the villagers you could get to move out, but that would take a long time. The map, though, is really important compared to everything else...and if you've already had restarting thoughts, I would go ahead and do it.

well if you just simply really don't like your map and villagers you have now, guess restart might be good idea.
Can't play games you don't enjoy right? ^^
Though it will takes few weeks to get everything back unlock, but you will be fine.
(Worse case you can time travel to fast forward. If you plan to do that, you might as well set your date back so you can fast forward from the day you first start play AC to the current date and time and then play it normally from there) << just idea not sure is it good or bad

Yep, My cousin will hold them, I am restarting tomorrow/tonight.
