Anyone know how some towns are worth hundreds of millions? My town is super developed yet it is only worth about 15 million bells. Just curious.

It depends on how many bells you have in your ABD, how many items you have in your catalog and how long you've played.
Edit: Also your town is worth less if you choose to keep your catalog instead of selling it.
