Question about weed day

so does leif come to your town and plant weeds everywhere? or do you just have to pick the weeds that are in your town?

No, you have to let the weeds grow before that day. Otherwise, if your town has no weeds, you will not get any items from Leif for weeding. Instead, you unlock the topiaries as PWPs.

You can do the weeding in your town or in other towns. Some items will only be given if you're weeding someone else's town.

I'm about to host a weed-a-thon in which I'll let a bunch of people come into my second town, which will be full of weeds. XD You could come to mine when I do it?

you can only get a selection of 3-4 items by yourself. you only need one weed to get one of the common items

if you want the rarer ones in the set you have to go to other towns and pick 30 weeds

You can just play normally, but don't pluck any weeds. They add up pretty fast.

Not if you have Beautiful Town ordinance, which I do. But I'm thinking of going back to Night Owl

On Grass day: You have to have the weeds in your town already and you get 1 item per 30 weeds pulled (as in you need 90 weeds for 3 people to get 1 item each) and 1 item for the owner of the town once all weeds have been pulled. you have to tally 30 weeds yourself ~ there is no counter but if the Mayor of the town talks to Leif at the Plaza they will be told how many weeds remain.

When I hosted it in my TT town I got more than 4 different items and between everyone there we got 8 or 9 different items from the flower series.


Any other day of the year: If you manage to get more than 60 (I think, could be 50) weeds in your town and it is NOT grass day Leif has a 1 in 3 or 4 chance of appearing by the mayors house asleep. If you wake him he'll start a weed counter (displayed on screen) and once all weeds are pulled every in the town who pulled atleast 1 weed gets a single piece of the flower series. ;D

^I don't think many people know about the mini weeding days as I've yet to find anywhere with info on them.

@Jinglefruit, I had a mini weeding day once. I TTd to April 1st and back, and had loads of weeds. He was walking around town. I spoke to him and he said 'blablabla too many weeds, pick them up!' So I had to go around and pick them all up And thats it I guess..
