question about villagers who left on main street

I heard that if you see villagers who have left, shopping that they have gone through the 16th cycle...is this true?

i dont think so. i found yuka on main street (villager from the ~void~) today, and she was my 1st villager to leave.

It's the opposite, actually! If you're seeing them on main street then they were one of the more recent villagers who moved out (so they're still in that 16). They start appearing after 4-5 villagers have moved out after them.

Gabi was my first villager to leave, only about four other villager have left after her. She's been lurking on my main street for about five days now, it's starting to creep me out a bit.
